Pediatric Rehabilitation
Maria Parham’s outpatient pediatric program offers physical, occupational, and speech therapy to children in our community. Our team evaluates a child’s mobility, play, self-care, feeding, speech, and language skills in order to develop an individualized therapy program to address the needs of each child. We have experience working with children of all ages to help improve their quality of life.
Developmentally appropriate therapeutic activities enhance communication, feeding, sensory, integration, activities of daily living, visual, and fine and gross motor skills in a structured setting. A child may receive therapy from disciplines separately or during an interdisciplinary therapy session where therapists collaborate to treat a variety of needs.
Family education regarding deficit areas and goals and progress are critical components of our pediatric program. Interaction with the pediatrician and community resources are integral elements in the treatment plan for pediatric patients.
